During 3th to 4th , January, the 5th Session Head Teachers’ Seminar in Elementary& Secondary Schools of Anqing City was convened in Anqing Foreign Language School. In attendance were principals in charge of research on class advisers, municipal foregoers responsible for head teachers’ work, some schoolmasters from Middle& Primary School as well as excellent headteachers. The theme of the seminar was centered on core literacy and professional competence.
　　First of all, the conference on the afternoon of 3rd January was chaired by Deputy Director He Chengfa with Municipal Teaching& Research Office. Two excellent theme class meetings, which won first prizes in national competitions, were demonstrated respectively by teacher Shi Jun from Ten-Mile Central School in Da Guan District and teacher Gan Wei with Anqing No.7 Middle School. Afterwards, free review session was initiated. The organizing committee specially invited Secretary of Youth League Committee Chen Lianlian with the Education Bureau of Da Guan District and special-grade teacher Liu Heshui from the Teaching& Research Section in Huai Ning County to be the distinguished review guest. What’s more, during the rap session, Anqing Foreign Language School showcased students’ spectacular and brilliant comprehensive quality. At the end of the conference, Director Jiang Longlin with Municipal Theory, Teaching& Research Office issued a working report entitled ‘Core Literacy: Capacity, Character and Morals’.
　　Second of all, the meeting on the morning of 4th January was hosted by Deputy Director Chen Jun from Municipal Teaching& Research Section. Director Sun Yan attended the meeting and conducted a guidance report. In addition, the seminar specially invited Mr. Gao Jiliang, outstanding principal from Shanghai and excellent teacher in national level. Mr. Gao proceeded an academic report entitled ‘Creative Activity Plans For Headteachers’ Work At The Background Of Core Literacy’.
　　All in all, the seminar not only possessed theory deconstruction from noted educational experts in national level from strategically advantageous position, thorough analysis, scientific& specific action route, but also showcased the splendid model theme class meetings of front-line headteachers. Therefore, the conference combined theory with practice. More remarkably, the attendees, especially the front-line class advisers, expressed that they were educated and inspired by the seminar, benefiting a lot.
